Producer seminars
Nordic Music Week has tried to bring together areas of the music industry in order to create debate, educate, and look into the future. Studio production is at the core of the music industry but it’s technicians, producers, and studio owners often live in a geeky world somewhat isolated from booking agents, managers, labels, promoters, while the latter are often unfamiliar and fascinated by the world of production. Through the offering of a parallel seminar program allowing all to listen and contribute to the discussion of branches of the industry from marketing, promotion and branding, distribution, studio production to live recording.
If there is one word that seems to define the needs of everyone in the music business these days it’s diversity. Diversity in product, diversity in marketability, and in terms of engineers and producers, diversity in skill sets. The more services one can provide the more likely one will be able to survive the tumultuous waters of this fast pace business. Therefore, NMW has chosen to cover several areas of production from live recording, circuit bending, mixing, and re-mixing.
